Developing Innovative Products Together

From Idea to Series Production

WALO has established itself as a full-service project partner that turns technical concepts for machinery and equipment into market-ready electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic products. We support the key stages of implementation, including development, samples, prototypes, design for series production, and manufacturing, with core expertise in:

  • Precision mechanics
  • Optical fiber technology
  • Electronics
  • Mechatronics

Product Examples are:

IRIS Glass Globe Pendant Light

For the globe light, WALO developed the mechatronics and the sophisticated suspension system. The technical components are housed in an elegant enclosure measuring only 200 millimeters in diameter and 45 millimeters in height. This compact space contains the electronic control system, the suspension mechanism for a globe weighing up to 10 kilograms, and a height-adjustment module.

Fixtures for Mechanical Component Processing

Development and construction of a fixture for mechanical component processing in series production. The components receive a surface finish and are prepared for the next production or assembly step in equipment manufacturing.

Innovative Optical Fiber Applications

Fiber holders for optical fibers used in a range of optical-fiber industry applications, including production, measurement and testing, and quality assurance.

OLED Lighting

Product development and manufacturing of OLED lights, including WALO Spring and WALO Summer.

Cast-Glass Lighting

Development and production of a wall light for ambient illumination. The design presents a historically inspired cast-glass slab in a minimalist housing with subtle illumination.

Optical Fiber Manufacturing Workstation

Concept development, product design, and construction of a workstation for optical fiber production.
