WALO is a supplier and implementation partner for industrial and high-tech companies seeking to bring electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic products to market.
Since 2009, we have developed, manufactured, and assembled solutions in equipment manufacturing, optical fiber technology, assembly manufacturing, and EMS. We also provide equipment services. We support customers throughout the complete product life cycle, from development and series production through after-sales service.
With approximately 20 years of experience in development, manufacturing, assembly, logistics, and service, we combine technical expertise with practical implementation.
Company History: Innovation Since 2009
From Spin-Off to Global Supplier
WALO was founded in 2009 by two former Siemens employees to provide technical solutions for equipment and machinery manufacturing.
The original goal was to serve demanding specialist markets, including equipment manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, and optical fiber technology, with custom technical solutions. The original spin-off developed into an established partner for electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic equipment and systems.
- 2009: WALO–TL GmbH was founded in Althegnenberg as a two-person company.
- 2010: A second facility opened in Gernlinden for manufacturing, assembly, service, and warehousing.
- 2011: Business operations moved to the new facility in Kaufering near Munich. In subsequent years, the company focused on mechatronics, optical fiber technology, and lighting technology.
- Since 2020: Expansion of the optical fiber technology and equipment-manufacturing business areas.
